Look for the metal covering covering the shower valve. Take it off or turn it loose. Use a screwdriver or needle nose pliers to pry off any locking clips on the shower valve.

REMOVE THE STEM AND CARTRIDGE

Using a cleaning solution and cloth, thoroughly wipe and dry the area surrounding the handle and all of the components.

Examine the seals surrounding the housing. Replace any that are worn out or damaged. Make sure that the replacement stem or cartridge is properly positioned before inserting it.

FIX THE FAUCET HANDLE AGAIN

Reattach the faucet handle by following the preceding instructions after installing the replacement cartridge or stem. After cleaning your sink and removing any dirt or towels, turn on your water line again.
